So there it is, that Coach bag that you have been wanting to get so badly but could not afford. But wait what is this? The designer bag that you have been waiting for so badly is sitting at a market for less than half the price that you would be selling it in stores. When these stylish designer bags are so deeply discounted one has to wonder what the deal is? The deal is that these coach bags are most likely a knockoff from the originals. If you do not want to a be ripped off and get a Coach bag that is a fake then here are some ways to tell if you are dealing with a fake coach bag.

C Pattern Should Start In Center of Bag

You need to check the bags that you are looking to purchase for that classic Coach C symbol. Bags that are fakes are going to likely have a G instead of a C this way if they are discovered they can avoid being prosecuted.

The C’s that you find on Coach bags will appear in pairs and the C’s will be facing each other. If the C’s are not facing each other of there are G’s instead you are dealing with a fake Coach bag. You also need to look and make sure that the C’s that appear on the bag are not cut off in the middle of the bag. The only time that a C will be cut off on a real Coach bag will be on the sides.

May Or May Not Have A Brown Or Tan Dustbag

The next thing that you need to do is check the purse for a dustbag. Now you will find that not all that are Coach bag resellers will sell a purchase that has a dustbag and if they do there are a few things that you should be looking out for. The dust rag in an authentic coach bag should be in tan or brown in color and should have red drawstring and the Coach logo should be stamped on the dust rag material

Coach Hardware Should Feel Heavy

All clasps that are added to real Coach bags should feel heavy. You should not be able to move or bend them with your fingers. Most of the clasps from authentic Coach bags will have the coach name imprinted on them. However do not let this steer you away from a bag if it doesn’t and there are many types of Coach bags that are no longer stamped with the Coach name.

Coach Creed Stitched Into Bag Not Glued

When you are checking to see if a Coach bag is fake or not you can check for the Coach creed. This is found on the inside on a leather panel and will have the lettering of the creed pressed into the leather. The panel of leather will be stitched into the bag not glued and you should also be checking for spelling and grammar mistakes.

There should be no parts of an authentic coach bag that are glued. Every last embellishment and patchwork will be neatly stitched in place. You will also find that the Coach tag is going to be attached to the purse with a looped chain and it should be two stitched together pieces of leather and no other materials. The name Coach should be in raised letters.

Stitching Should Be Even - Without Flaws

Be sure to check the stitching as Coach does not use cheap thread. There are many resellers that will though so you need to make sure that there are no gaps, threads pulling or other flaws with the stitching. You also need to make sure the strap on a real coach bag is either leather of fabric, it should never be plastic. If you are noticing any part of it is peeling then you are dealing with molded plastic and a fake Coach bag.

Many times bank tellers can spot counterfeit money because they are so familiar with genuine money. They look at it, touch it and count it day after day. Keeping in mind the tips in this article examine the handbags. Feel how heavy the buckles are. See for yourself how even the stitching is. Look at and feel the stamping in the creed.
